Makoto Yoshio is an Outsider who has mysteriously appeared in Gensokyo with nothing he owns but a black umbrella (that doesn't even belong to him). He is one of the two main characters of Kigurou-Enkou's crossover story, The Crossroad, alongside Alyss Baraen.
Little else is known about him other than his dream to be a hero and what happened before he appeared in Gensokyo; he was chasing a thief on his bicycle before crashing and falling into a gorge, rendering him unconscious.
